Weaver Patrece Canoy

Give Patrece Canoy anything from metal to plant material, and she can weave it into a beautiful hat, basket, or wall hanging. Adopted as a child, Patrece Canoy decided to learn a dying art, and continues to study basket weaving with American Indian basket weavers. She also makes paper from the pulp left from weaving materials.

Poet Clem Stark makes his living as a carpenter at Oregon State University. He reads and writes in his studio on an old pioneer homestead near Dallas that he build himself. His poems deal with the details of the concrete world in carefully laid-out lines.
