Milliner Dayna Pinkham

Dayna Pinkham has devoted herself to the art and craft of hats for over 20 years, combining her extensive training in the traditional style of European millinery with her inspired, artistic flair. She learned the time-honored methods of steaming and shaping felt, straw and buckram over wood blocks and finishing with fine hand stitching. Dayna designs and constructs her exceptional hats at her downtown Portland boutique, Pinkham Millinery.

Dennis Meiners is well known for hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery and for his use of texture in whimsical teapots and platters. His skill as a potter is also evident in the amazingly light weight of his huge vessels.

Designer Adam McIsaac

Designer Adam McIsaac is known for his book designs for the Portland small press Hawthorne Books. He is a master of typeface and is responsible for the photographs and the overall look of the books that Hawthorne releases. He is also the keyboardist in the jazz-funk band Spot 79. All of Adam's talents came together at a publishing party and Art Beat was there.
