- At the Pacific Northwest College of Art, we watch as Tibetan artist Sonam Phuntsok works on a giant painting called a thangka, a form of Buddhist meditation. Having been awarded a grant and finding the perfect work space at the PNCA, Sonam started on his current piece but has been creating thangkas for more than twenty years.

- Musician Reggie Houston

- Saxophonist and singer Reggie Houston moved to Portland recently, leaving the rich music scene in New Orleans where had been a fixture for decades. He led Charmaine Neville's band and playing with greats such as Fats Domino. In Portland he leads two bands, one R&B and one jazz. He's also teaching and also coming out with his own line of praline cookies.
