- We take you into a truly special place not open to the public. WildCat Haven is a rescue facility for exotic cats like the African servile, lynx and cougar. Cheryl and Michael Tuller opened WildCat Haven a non profit dedicated to educating the public about the consequences of keeping captive born wildcats. Wildcat Haven is a true rescue facility, they do not breed or show their rescued cats. Their goal is to keep these cats in the wild.

- Dr. Jason Dunham of US Geological Survey studies the rare Western Pearl Shell mussel in Oregon's Steamboat Creek. The Pearl Shell can live for up to 200 years. They also have growth rings similar to trees, by studying these growth rings scientist can better understand how the streams ecosystem has changed, in some cases over decades. This new field of research could also help to better understand the effects of climate change and global warming.
