Adventures at the Pig 'n Pancake
Our intrepid intern Ben Lansky and I enjoyed our time at the Seaside Pig 'n Pancake Friday morning, where diners didn't seem to mind the slight intrusion of live mics in the booth next door. We were able to bring a lot of the people we met onto the show that morning, but there wasn't time for everyone. The Acree family told us they come to Seaside every year from their home in Tacoma:
Thirteen-year-old Hayley's dad, Dave, and sister, Maddie, convinced her to tell us about their vacation on the air, but Hayley (on the left) was relieved when we ran out of time before we were able to bring her on.
Vicki Neff, the head hostess, was pretty busy the whole time we were there, but she found time to pose for a quick photo in her Hood to Coast T-shirt:
And we couldn't leave without a small souvenir of our time at the PnP, which will be greeting guests in our green room from now on:
