Following Faith Healing
Over a year ago we did a show called Of Prayer and Penicillin where we discussed the death of 15-month-old Ava Worthington. She died from bacterial pneumonia and a blood infection. Her parents, Carl and Raylene, are members of Oregon City's Followers of Christ church. They believed their prayers would heal their daughter, so they did not give her antibiotics that would have saved her. They are facing charges of manslaughter and criminal mistreatment. Raylene is pregnant with another child, and now the trial is beginning.
