Fun at the Ace Hotel
Think Out Loud's new intern, Jessica, and I began our morning today at Portland's Ace Hotel where we brought the TOL "roving microphone," to capture people's thoughts about Oregon's image. Below are a few pictures we snapped while we were there.
These two guys, Patchen and Brian, were the first two guests on the show this morning:
That's Ingrid on the left. She was the one who said maybe Oregon was second place in everything. Jessica is in the middle and on the right is Steve, the comic book author who finds Portland to be very supportive of nerdy pursuits:
Donald at the Ace Hotel was nice enough to make us this sign to put next to the stairs, which were very close to the mezzanine, where we were broadcasting:
When we were finished cleaning up all our cords, mics and headphones, the mezzanine quickly returned to its natural state:
