Beginning this evening there will be a few small changes in OPB radio's schedule. The rebroadcast of Think Out Loud will now begin at 9 p.m. sharp instead of the usual 9:06 p.m. Savvy listeners may know that in past we started with a one-minute teaser followed by about five minutes of news, and began the body of the show around 9:06. From now on the rebroadcast won't have the teaser or news. So when we say tune in at 9 p.m. we really mean 9 p.m.!
After Think Out Loud ends stay tuned for The Writer's Almanac. It will start at 9:54 p.m. and run until 10:00. A great little value-add for our nightime listeners!

Why not play The Writer's Almanac before TOL, instead of the news? By the time BBC comes on, I've tuned out for the night.

Good idea. Cut out the TOL news broadcast which is going to be covered in depth by the BBC at 10. Fewer news snippets might reduce "news anxiety".
