All Songs Considered is in town this week to host a listening party at Mississippi Studios. Producer Robin Hilton says it's probably been a while since the last time you sat in a room, put on some music with your friends, and just talked about what you were listening to. The listening party is meant to evoke those experiences.
While the live listening party is a new experiment for All Songs Considered, the show been running online since January 2000. We're going to look back at that 13-year run with host Bob Boilen and producer Robin Hilton. They're bringing a playlist of one song for every year of the show's run so far.
