A dozen Oregon National Guard soldiers and veterans are suing the defense contractor, KBR, alleging that the company knowingly exposed them to the carcinogenic chemical hexavalent chromium. The soldiers were guarding a water treatment facility in Iraq in 2003 when they came in contact with the chemical. The jury is deliberating right now after a three-week-long trial.
Mike Francis extensively covered the trial for The Oregonian. He'll join us for the details about the case that each side made in the courtroom.
