Portland Water Bureau will not have to spend tens of millions to treat Bull Run water for cryptosporidium. The state granted the variance officials sought. We've talked about Bull Run water on our show before. Most recently, when it looked like the variance might be in question when test samples of the water returned traces of cryptosporidium. Portland Water Bureau administrator David Shaff says the state did change the conditions of the variance, but that he's very happy with this news.
