The last time Think Out Loud discussed fair housing, we checked in with the City of Portland and Washington County about the development of their respective fair housing plans. We also talked with the Fair Housing Council of Oregon that conducts audits around the state to find out if discrimination is happening. Our guests agreed that education and enforcement were both key to ensuring fair housing. Turns out that no one will be prosecuted as a result of the recent Portland audits, even though they turned up significant discrimination. The Portland city council is expected to take up Commissioner Nick Fish's Fair Housing plan on Wednesday. We'll ask him about that and the future of enforcing fair housing law.

Have you experienced discrimination in housing? What did you do about it? What should the city's role be?
