Many of us hear about the idea of faith-healing, but have little understanding of what that really means. We've tried repeatedly to speak to members of the Followers of Christ church (after a series of faith-healing trials began) to hear their perspective, but we've never succeeded in landing an interview. We'll keep trying in 2012, but meanwhile, we thought we'd replay a moving conversation that we did have this year about how some people of faith approach illness. It was with Lucia Greenhouse who wrote "fathermothergod: My Journey Out of Christian Science." She joined us to talk about her childhood, how the church affected her family, and ultimately why she left.
