Yahoo and LinkedIn hackings in recent months illustrate the growing culture of hacking. These types of crimes happen every day. Earlier this year, more than 400,000 debit and credit cards were compromised. They were to be sold and traded by other hackes around the world.
On the national front, President Obama is pushing for a cybersecurity bill, citing the threat as one of the U.S.'s most serious problems. A University of Texas professor was able to hack a U.S. Drone’s GPS system along with his team back in June.
Also, a hacking tool to manipulate smart energy meters has been released. The Termineter, can alter commands that control energy and water supply in people’s homes or businesses.
Have you ever been hacked? Do you think the government should implement regulations when it comes to the internet and technology? What questions do you have about hacking?
