Whether you're a lifetime resident or a recent transplant, what's at the top of your list of things to do and see in Oregon?
I had been in Portland for almost a year when my brother, Andy, came to visit me. He was shocked to discover that I hadn't taken advantage of any of the hiking opportunities just outside of my new home. Before I knew it, Andy had made a plan and we were on our way to Eagle Creek in the Columbia River Gorge. It was a hot day for a four mile hike, but the clear waters at Punchbowl Falls made it all worth it. Now it's hard to imagine an Oregon summer without at least a few hikes in the Gorge. Next on my list: Mount St. Helens.
