Just when you thought the obesity situation in this country couldn't get any worse, a new study about teens and obesity-related diabetes comes out and proves you wrong. The study, published in the journal Pediatrics, comes on the heels of a four-part HBO documentary called The Weight of the Nation, which aired last week. It included the startling number of children who develop type 2 diabetes and the numbers of obese children who are are prone to diabetes — among other health problems — later in life.
