What will you remember about this historic day?

Think Out Loud is pre-empted on Tuesday for live coverage of the inauguration of Barack Obama. We encourage you to tune in to OPB Radio to hear this important event unfold. And, if inspired, we welcome your reactions here. What does this day mean to you? Are you taking the day off work to watch -- or listen to -- the next president speak?

Seriously, I was more moved and impressed when Obama was elected. That's when I got excited and scared. So many problems. Can Obama move a do-nothing congress and a populace riddled with a Santa Claus length list of maladies?

Not as seriously. Can we get off raving about Michelle's gown and get onto saving the planet please? Inauguration day is akin to flight attendants serving cocktail weenies to the passengers standing knee-deep in icy water on the wings of flight 1549. We've got to get the hell out of here, people! Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!

The world is falling off it's flipping axis and we're arguing about the color of drying fingernail polish. We've got four decades of stupidity to rework. Let's let The Messiah get on with his thing while we get on with ours. Sheesh already!

The next time you have a Conservative Commentator on your show, can you ask a question for me? "If the Bush Tax cuts were supposed to create a strong and vibrant economy..... What happened?"
