This weekend there's a plethora of festival and expo picks worth checking out all over the state. If you're looking for something fun to do by the coast, the Florence Chowder, Blues & Brews festival goes all weekend. A chowder cook-off is on Saturday with free chowder tastings for attendees. Or, if chowder isn't your thing you can head farther down the coast towards Lincoln City where the annual Fall Kite Festival will be taking place.
In Portland, the Oregon Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony and concert will be this Saturday along with a live auction of autographed guitars. Guitar autohraph-ers include Willie Nelson and the Doobie Brothers. For tattoo and art lovers alike, if you're in the mood for some edgy talent, check out the Portland Tattoo Expo going on at the Portland Expo Center.
Plus even more festivals involving cheese, writing and film.
