I am amazed at the lack of knowledge from the comments on your program on Arizona's immigration laws.  Arizona gets 73% of its tax income from sales and property taxes, yet your guests repeatedly said immigrants don't pay any taxes.  Do they get exemptions from sales taxes?  Do they tell their landlords they dont have to pay the portion of rent that goes toward taxes?  SSA estimates that $8 BILLION a year are paid in FICA taxes by illegal immigrants who get no benefits.  Your speakers propose requiring citizenship tests to get social services. Don't they know that Medicaid, Food Stamps, TANF,  Mental Health, DD, housing, etc. already require proof of citizenship.  Application processes verify birth certificates and immigration documents with the issuing agency. What services are your expters  talking about?   The myth that illegals pay no taxes and use social services were repeated several  times with no challenge.  One caller said it best when she said the immigrants are the scapegoats.  In this case  for AZ politicians inability to address their budget problems. 

Before you endorse this misguided law, come to Phoenix!!   Come to a city that is riddled with drugs.  My kids can buy cocain and heroin at three places within a mile of my home on the Paradise Valley border. The city  leads the nation in deaths from red light runners - a city with virtually no traffic law enforcement.  The police don't have time to investigate routine crimes like car burglary even when you try to initiate one.  Then tell me that the best use of police resources is to spend two to four hours at a time arresting and booking janitors and kitchen workers.
