Need to set the record straight here, even though it's off-topic of our 3rd District candidates...

Washingtonians working in Oregon pay Oregon state income tax on every dollar earned in Oregon at the same rate Oregonians pay.   If you list the counties by the total revenue paid in the form of Oregon income tax, Clark County, WA is in the top 5.  And what do non-resident taxpayers receive?  Not much.  We use the roads, and I guess if we were laid off, we would collect unemployment insurance from Oregon.

I live about 15 miles from my job.  That's about the same as my co-workers living in Tualatin, Hillsboro, and Gresham.  So what's the big deal?

With more and more jobs being sent overseas, I fear that this recession is a taste of the new normal.  And it's not only manufacturing jobs we're losing; the company I work for will outsource (mostly to India) several hundred IT and clerical positions in September.  Do you support outsourcing if it means increased corporate profits?  Do you support outsourcing federal government jobs if it is proven to reduce costs?
