on Tax Referrals

You know its funny, when i lived in CA 8 years ago, I payed less in taxs and made more money than I do now. Now that I live in OR, I pay more and make less, This all comes down to a sales tax, if we put a sales tax into place we all would pay less in taxs ( specificaly state income) and would have more money in the coffers. but for some reason people dont get that.

on Housing Ripples

Some things should not be for profit industries, I.E. food, energy and especially housing. Every one in this country should be able to buy a home, and due to the greed of speculators that is no longer an option in this country, therefore I think the slump is a good thing, possibly it will put the greed of people like your guests in check, and will make it possible for working Americas to have the LOST American dream.

on The Governor of Washington Takes Your Questions

Governor,

Seeing how the COUVERS are the biggest cause of traffic and congestion in the metro area, should we (people who live in PDX) not charge a toll to keep them out and stop congestion? I live in NOPO and its ridicules that it takes 40 + minuets to drive 5 miles.

on Salmon Shutdown?

Would it be possible to set up some sort of partial wild, partial farmed hatchery, some where up river to keep stocks up, then release these fish into the river at the normal time they would normally head down river to spawn.

on Graffiti, Gangs and Growth

I find it funny that you?re guests have tried to sugar coat the link between gangster rap & gang violence for political correctness. The facts are that the Gangster rap culture promotes violence with its ?bling Bling? ideology.

You don?t see hipsters doing drive-by?s bumping spoon or modest mouse.

Your guests are doing a disservice by trying to be political correct.

on Baseball Returns

I moved here from San Diego about five years ago and am so happy that we don?t have a base ball team here. After living in a city where they used tax dollars to support a private organizations (to build baseball & football stadiums) to make more money for the one percent I find it refreshing living in a city where a boring game is not the only thing of value in a city. Additionally the only reason the college dropped the wrestling program for baseball is because it is more profitable.
