I would like to know if Mr. Kitzhaber will address the Student Loan issue.

Student Loand debt is the ONLY, repeat, ONLY debt from which ALL DEBT PROTECTIONS, such as bankruptcy, have been removed. Since earning my graduate degree six years ago I have been unemployed twice and homeles during one of those periods. My Student Loan debt is now over $100,000.00. Being middle aged I will NEVER be out from under that debt. I still do not have a job in my field and work at a job just barely paying above minimum wage. I cannot make the $800 a month payments on my student loan and I am threatened with having garnished my measly retirement and the Social Security I will soon be at the age to qualify for.

When I tried to make reasonable arrangements with the lenders they LAUGHED AT ME! Being in debt for trying to better myself has now turned into permanent endentured servitude.

Will Mr. Kitzhaber help those of us who are stuck in this debacle?
