Baby Boomers are not going to be buying bikes just because Generation X activists think it is a great idea.  What all of these bikes do cause me to do is maintain a two million dollar personal liability policy annually.  I'll feel horrible if I am involved in a deadly accident with a bicyclist but I will go home to dinner and your family will not take my house and 401k.

Back in 1980 to 1984 my mother loaned me $40,000.  Under the Regan with double digit interest rates I was able to spend the interest tax free.   May 13 1984, graduation day, my mother asked me to pay her back the money.  I paid her back and she handed me a graduation card in return.   Yes there was a promisory note.

If you liken the geological Continents to the rudder on a floating Supertanker and admit that the landmasses are fluid/in movement….. how can you ignore that a fraction of degree of change in only one of the Continent's position can change the Ocean Currents and resulting weather patterns.    How are we going to regulate plate tectonics?

 

Carbon footprint is convenient to your livelihood but FYI we have been in a warming trend for thousands of years.

Wind Turbines hold gallons of Synthetic Oils and/or Petrol based oils.  Blades are made of composites.  Solar Panels will be destroyed in hail storms.  Hybrid batteries do not last forever.

 

Make the Oregon maintenance/clean up work on these various items be the leader for the entire nation.

 

Yes it is more 'Green' but not cradle to grave.   Look beyond the Politically Correct term "Green" for the day and try not to use the term "transparent" while doing so.
