What will all this mean for the US tourist industry? I am a legal immigrant - when my family visit, will they have to take their passports with them when they walk to the supermarket just in case they get pulled over for looking foreign? Is that the kind of country we want to live in?

It seems that people's main issue is about illegal workers - why not enforce the law at the businesses that are employing illegal immigrants? That would mean that legal immigrants who happen to not have white skin wouldn't feel as persecuted and would certainly look less xenophobic to the rest of the world.
