My son is now 21 years old and when we first tried to have him diagnosed - 2 doctors refused to "label" him and this made it much harder to access services, etc. He was finally diagnosed at age 19!! He has a twin brother and at 2 1/2 years old the differences were very apparent. He is a great "kid" but he is also an adult who needs a lot of support and care on an ongoing basis.
