I, as a gay man, do not see this as being about anyone's sexuality. It's about being asked a question that should never be asked. When Bob Ball raised this issue, he knew he was bringing a private matter up as a public issue. Sam's sex life is HIS sex life, not ours. It is private. There is no good answer to a question that has no place in a public discussion. the question begs a lie as an answer.  Bob crossed the line. People lie about their sex lives. That's just the way human's respond when something extremely private is raised in a public forum.
