on Funding Parks and Candidates
Jesse Cornett paid people to conduct direct voter contact, not to collect signatures. I think that is the best use of public money in a campaign. I know they don't want the money spent at all, but how would they rather see it spent under the current system?

I would like to know if Ron Mauer would push for school privatization or will he try to boost the performance of public schools?

on Primary Conversations: Oregon Races
A race that Portland Metro area people should be keeping an eye on is the race for Chair of the Washington County Commission. This has been dubbed by many as the most important local election in Oregon this primary season. The top contenders, Dick Schouten and Andy Duyck, are both long time serving Washington County Commissioners, and the outcome of this election could drastically change the direction of Washington County and change the way that it works together with Multnomah and Clackamas counties. At the end of this day, this race is one between development interests (Duyck), and balanced growth that leads to a better quality of life in Washington County (Schouten).

on Tuition Equity?
Let's face it. This is not about illegal immigration. This is about people different from us.
What if all the illegal immigrants looked just like us, would we be just as angry? I doubt it. Let's call a spade a spade, this is veiled racism.
Get over yourselves people. We are all immigrants!!! If you are not a Native American than STFU!

on Tuition Equity?
The bottom line of this argument is simple. We are talking about a kid who was brought here with no choice, they went to school like they were told, they succeeded and now they are told they can't go to college.
Let's face the fact. These students, if better educated, will work towards citizenship and work with their parents to gain citizenship. We are denying some of our best students the opportunity to add to economy and workforce.
