Research shows that excellent teachers make excellent schools.  Oregon law requires that teachers either start with a master's degree or get one within five years of starting teaching at all levels, k-12.  Considering that the debt load for such training is easily $50,000 at least, and starting teacher's salaries are in the $30,000, what would you do to attract and hold qualified and dynamic teachers?
