On the topic of "temporary" files on your computer:
When you visit a web site any pictures that appear on the screen will be stored as "temporary" files on your computer as part of the process involved in displaying the image. Depending on your computer these files may or may not be deleted automatically. In some cases they never get deleted.
This means that if you accidentally visit a page that has child porn or anything else objectionable, these files will be on your computer. Even if you immediately close your browser or turn off your computer, the files can still be there.
If you visit a web page that has pop up windows that happen to send you to another web page, those files will be on your computer as well.
If you get a virus or other bad software on your computer that you didn’t install and it sends you to an objectionable web page, the picture files can remain on your computer.
The point to all this is that just because an objectionable file is found on a computer, it doesn’t mean the computer owner intended to view the file.

I called by my local Fred Meyer and Rite Aid. Neither have it in. No luck with Beaverton Pharmacy either.

on Paying Per Mile
The system consists of a location device, a computer, a transmission device, and software to control it all. Currently the software proposed does not allow tracking, but all it would take is an update to the software and we could all be tracked.
You would never design a system where the software could not be easily updated. If this technology goes in, we are only a software update away from loss of privacy.

on Classy Politics
That being said, I find it pretty interesting that congress has recently defined the value as "less then $75,000". They did this when they set the cap for the stimulus package to people earning less then $75,000. If you earn much more then that, you don't get a stimulus rebate check.
Since the stimulus package was "not supposed to go to the rich", then everyone not getting a check is "rich", leaving everyone else either poor or middle class.
This all tells me that congress is really out of touch with what people consider the middle class.
