on Carrie Brownstein and Portlandia

It would be great to do a sketch about the Portland Saturday Market lifestyle.  - The ethos of selling handcrafted items by the person making it  from a booth outdoors juxtaposed with the Portland weather and the desire to make money (selling/buying in a blizzard).  I used to manage the PSM and have seen many what I consider to be "only in Portland" vignettes at the Market.

on Compromise

For me it is not about compromise but more about collaboration to get the public's business done.  Currently politicians are so positional that there is virtually no ability to implement legislation that serves the "public good".

Also this positional dynamic at the legislative level leads to govt agencies competing with each other for resources instead of collaborating and leveraging the human and financial resources to work together to have the legislation achieve a goal rather than protecting the status quo of various interest groups.

Lets get back to understanding that we rise or fall together and everything affects everything -  a wholistic approach.
