Maybe states such as Oregon which have death penalties and don't enforce them (give me a break...three executions since 1984.  There have been many times as many deaths among inmates sentenced to 'life in prison') should forget the charades.  It'd be like me saying that I'm getting exercise sitting on my bicycle trainer without moving my legs.
